15 Oct 2004 - Feast of St. Gall
The 16th October is the feast of St. Gall. To mark this occasion a special Mass was celebrated for the pupils and staff by our Chaplain Fr. Pat Horgan. Assisting Fr. Pat was his brother Fr. Sean Horgan who was paying a return visit to the Clonard area, having left in 1969 to go to the West Indies on missionary work.
Mr. Devine asked the boys to always keep St. Galls in their hearts. This was the final Mass in honour of the feast day to be held in the school. Next year with the amalgamation the school will be called St. Clare's.
St. Gall's School then closed for a half day in honour of our patron saint which the pupils appreciated greatly.
